Charles "DJ Cruz" Brandon began his career in music at the tender age of ten, training under his father, lead pianist and guitar player for a number of gospel groups overseas.

While learning to play guitar, he met and eventually fell under the tutelage of the late, great jazz guitarist, Chalmers Eddie "Spanky" Alford." At the age of 18, he shifted his focus on playing bass guitar, music production and performance disk jockeying, stretching his skills across multiple genres and venues.

Over the last 25 years, his performances and live production services on tours and in festivals have allowed him to share stages with industry GREATS like SOS Band, Jon B, Steve Perry, Doc McKenzie & the Hi-Lites, the late Lee Williams & the Spiritual QCs, Avant, Mary J. Blige, Ruben Studdard, the late Bishop Rance Allen and so many others.

DJ Cruz continues to be a well recognized face in the local music scene.
